Rod Fox

Executive Chairman

Rod Fox is the Executive Chairman of Howden Tiger, a leading global reinsurance intermediary, strategic advisor and investment bank and part of the Howden Group. Prior to Howden Tiger, Rod was the founder and CEO, and ultimately the Executive Chairman, of TigerRisk Partners, a global reinsurance and capital advisory firm, working with a high-end group of insurers.

Prior to TigerRisk, Rod served as the Chief Executive Officer of Praetorian Financial Group (PFG) where he led the re-structuring, re-branding, and successful sale of the $2B specialty property and casualty insurer to QBE.

Before PFG, Rod was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Benfield Group’s reinsurance platform where he oversaw the profitable growth of the business while delivering industry leading trading margins. He was a member of the Board of Benfield and was instrumental in their initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange. He was also involved in numerous industry transactions, including the growth of Benfield’s capital markets advisory business, the first Florida JUA depopulation, a restructuring of Allstate Group’s catastrophe exposure, and the formation of Montpelier Re.

Rod started his career at E.W. Blanch Co., a privately held reinsurance intermediary. He was involved in EWB’s initial public offering and enjoyed various positions within EWB; ultimately becoming President and Chief Operating Officer.
In conjunction with Jim Stanard, the former CEO of RenaissanceRe, Rod formed F&S Ventures in 2008, a privately held insurance investment firm.

Rod holds the CPCU designation and is a graduate of Middlebury College and the Executive Risk Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He serves on numerous industry boards and is active with the Navy SEAL Foundation. He has also completed the half and full IRONMAN endurance races.

Elliot Richardson

Vice Chairman

Elliot Richardson is Vice Chairman of Howden Tiger.

Elliot joined RK Harrison in June 2011, he has 35 years’ experience in the insurance sector and is widely regarded as a leading figure in the facultative reinsurance arena. Previously, Elliot served as Chief Board Officer of Aon Benfield Fac, Chief Board Officer of Aon Re Global Fac and, prior to joining Aon, as head of Facultative Solutions at Benfield.

In 1998, Elliot joined E W Blanch, which was bought by Benfield in 2001, focusing on large commercial facultative accounts. He began his career at Alexander Howden in 1988 as a US property broker, before moving to Wilcox, Johnson & Higgins in 1995 to form a new facultative practice.

Rob Bredahl

CEO

Rob joined TigerRisk in 2019 as President and is now CEO of Howden Tiger, a leading global reinsurance broker, strategic advisor, and investment bank and part of the Howden Group.

Prior to joining TigerRisk, Rob Bredahl was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. During his tenure at Third Point Re between 2012 and 2019, he served in various senior roles including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Third Point Re, Rob was the Chief Executive Officer of Aon Benfield Securities, Aon’s Investment Banking Group, and the President of the Americas division of Aon Benfield from November 2008 to January 2012. Prior to Aon’s acquisition of Benfield in November 2008, he held various senior level positions at Benfield and at the time of acquisition was Chief Executive Officer of Benfield U.S. Inc. and of Benfield Advisory. Prior to joining Benfield in March 2002, Rob served as Chief Executive Officer of Inreon PLC and Managing Director and Head of U.S. Derivative Sales for Barclays Capital.

Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Middlebury College. While at Aon Benfield Securities he held several securities licenses, including the Series 24, Series 7 and Series 63.

Tim Ronda

President

Tim Ronda, President of Howden Tiger, a leading global reinsurance broker, strategic advisor and investment bank and part of the Howden Group, joined TigerRisk Partners in 2021. Prior to TigerRisk, Tim was the Global Geographic Leader of Reinsurance Solutions at Aon. During his tenure at Aon, he was Aon’s President of Reinsurance Solutions for the U.S and was also a member of the firm’s reinsurance solutions global executive committee. Prior to joining Aon, Tim was a Senior Vice President at Guy Carpenter. In addition to his executive roles at Aon, Tim is known for his broad-based relationships in the market and expertise in areas such as property, management liability, E&O, employment practices, general and excess liability, and workers’ compensation.

Tim graduated from Washington & Lee University with degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Bradley Maltese

CEO – Howden Tiger International

Bradley Maltese has over 39 years’ experience in the reinsurance sector and previously held the Vice Chairman position of the Global Specialities division of Guy Carpenter, a business of Marsh McLennan. He was responsible for overall performance, growth and success of this division. Invited and attended two Senior Executive/Leadership Marsh Group Conferences (including top 130+ leaders in Marsh Group). Mr Maltese has also held various senior positions during his career, including Managing Director of Harman, Wicks & Swayne (HWS). He has led the successful sale and integration of HWS to Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited (JLT) and became Director of JLT Re Ltd and led further integration of JLT to Towers Watson Re where he was promoted to Deputy CEO position enabling sustainable growth and business support. Bradley joined Howden in April 2022 as CEO of Howden RE and on closure is the CEO of Howden Tiger International.
