Vision 2025 will attract more managing agencies: Barbican

The forward-looking nature of Lloyd’s is likely to drive continued growth in the number of managing agencies, according to Barbican’s head of group strategy Austyn Tusler.

The Lloyd’s Vision 2025 in particular encourages new entrants, which supports its goal of strengthening Lloyd’s position and exploring opportunities in new territories and in emerging risks, he said.

The market’s reputation is built on its ability to pioneer and innovate, and we are seeing this on a number of fronts, such as cyber where Lloyd’s already has a market­leading presence; Tusler continued. “Further developments such as the London Market Target Operating Model will serve to enhance the ability to transact business in the market and are likely to increase the appeal of the managing agency”.
